GEO International Week 2019 and GEO Ministerial Summit which launched the organization's two-year work plan were held in Canberra, Australia on November 4-9, 2019. The event was attended by the delegation of Ukraine: Ambassador of Ukraine in Australia M. Kulinich and scientists of  SRI NASU-SSAU О. Fedorov, N. Kussul, A. Shelestov. The dominant trend of discussions at the event´s meetings was the growing role of space observations in the digital economy and monitoring of the UN-approved sustainable development goals.
