SRI includes 4 research departments and 2 unstructured laboratories:
- Department of Dynamic Systems Control– Head Corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine Vyacheslav Gubarev;
- Space Plasma Department – Head Corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Prof. Oleh Cheremnykh;
- Department of Space Information Technologies and Systems – Head Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. Nataliia Kussul;
- Department of System Research of Space Activity – Head Corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Oleh Fedorov.
The department includes:
- Unstructured Laboratory for Satellite Near Space Exploration – Head Dr. Georgii Lizunov;
- Unstructured Laboratory for Space Technologies Application – Head Dr. Lev Semenov.
