SRI includes 4 research departments and 2 unstructured laboratories:

1. Department of Dynamic Systems Control–  Head Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Mykola Salnikov; 
2. Space Plasma Department – Head Corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Prof. Oleh Cheremnykh;
3. Department of Space Information Technologies and Systems – Head  PhD Yailymov Bohdan; 
4. Department of  System Research of  Space  Activity – Head Corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Oleh Fedorov.
   The department includes:

• Unstructured Laboratory for Satellite Near Space Exploration  – Head Dr. Georgii Lizunov;
