Election program of the candidate for the position of Director of the Institute of Space Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the State Space Agency of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, Cheremnykh O.K.

On February 8, 2022, Scientific Council of the Institute was held, dedicated to nominating a candidate for the position of SRI Director. The candidacy of prof. O. Cheremnykh, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, by the majority of votes was supported.

Національна академія наук України відповідно до свого Статуту та Методичних рекомендацій щодо особливостей обрання керівника державної наукової установи, затверджених постановою Кабінету Міністрів України оголосила конкурс на заміщення посади директора Інституту космічних досліджень НАНУ та ДКАУ. Прийом документів претендентів здійснюється Відділенням інформатики та Відділом наукових і керівних кадрів НАН України протягом двох місяців від дня оприлюднення цього оголошення до 17 березня 2022 року.

Deputy Director of SRI prof. N. Kussul  was awarded the honorary prize of the intergovernmental organization GEO (Group of Earth Observation) for personal contribution to the activities of this organization - GEO Individual Excellence Award 2021. The award ceremony will take place during the next Plenary Week (GEO-17 Plenary) on November 26, 2021. In recent years, scientists of the Institute, led by N.M. Kussul, performed a number of works in international cooperation in the interests of the introduction of satellite technologies in solving the problems of sustainable development and the creation of the international system GEOSS.
