General Meeting of the Department of Informatics of the NAS of Ukraine was held on May 25. In particular, the Reports of the heads of institutes of the Department for work in 2020 were on the agenda. The Presentation on the main indicators was presented by the SRI director Fedorov O.P.

Elections of members and corresponding members of the NAS of Ukraine
Elections of members and corresponding members of the NAS of Ukraine was held On May 24. In the Department of Informatics two candidates of the "Space Information Technologies" specialty from the SRI were nominated – there were the Depute Director, Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. Kussul N.M. and Depute Director, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, prof. Cheremnikh O.K. Among 6 applicants in the first round Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, prof. Cheremnikh O.K. was elected. General Meeting of the NAS of Ukraine have approved this decision of the Department of Informatics. Congratulations on your success!
The meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of the State Space Agency
On 23 February the meeting of the Scientific and Technical Coincil of SSA was held to discuss the main provisions of the draft Space Program for the period 2021-2025. The meeting was attended by representatives of leading space enterprises, including SRI, representatives of the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development. The main provisions and tasks of new Space Program for 2021-2025 were approved. The Council supported the initiative to establish an expert commission (under SSA Council) on perspective space projects and to launch a discussion of the document "Fundamentals of state policy in the area of space activities" prepared by SRI.
The term of implementation of the Research Program "Aerospace environmental observations in the interests of sustainable development and security as a national segment of the Horizon 2020 ERA-PLANET project" will be prolong on 2021–2023
On 17 February 2021 at the meeting of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine Oleh Fedorov reported the results of the NASU Research Program "Aerospace environmental observations for sustainable development and security as a national segment of the Horizon 2020 ERA-PLANET project" on 2018-2020. Previously the report was heard at the meeting of the Coordinating Board of the Physical and Technical Sciences Section. Taking into account the obtained results NASU Presidium approved the decision to prolong the term of implementation of the Program in the years 2021-2023.
