On May 29, 2020 the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine conducted a state certification of the Institute. The Certificate DA № 00220 dated 17 June 2020 recognizes that the SRI of NASU and SSAU the state certification with a certification grade of 3.64 / 3.71 for the period of 3 years has passed. According to the results of the evaluation, the II qualification group to the scientific institution was appointed.

The Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) has approved the ranking lists of projects participating in the competitions "Science for Human Security and Society" and "Support for Research of Leading and Young Scientists". According to the results of the first competition, 3 projects of the Institute's employees in the list of projects that will receive support from NRFU grants were included:

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of  Ukraine,  September 7, 2020 No 819  (https://www.kmu.gov.ua/npas/deyaki-pitannya-ministerstva-z-pitan-a819) new powers of the newly formed the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine have been identified, including in particular: "ensuring the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of space activities."

According to the Government's Priority Action Plan for 2020, submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on  September 9, 2020 the Concept of the new Program for 2021-2025 should be adopted by the Government in October this year, while the Program itself should be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for approval in December (paragraphs 142, 143) (http://materialy.kmu.gov.ua/6e248d68/docs/3a5170d0/Dodatok_3.pdf). Currently, the draft Concept of  National Target Scientific and Technical Space Program of Ukraine has been developed in the SSA of Ukraine and forwarded to the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine. The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as 3 Ministers did not approve the draft Concept.
