By the decision of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine on 21 of February 2024 the results of the certification of the Institute were approved, which were considered by the Permanent Commission for the Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Scientific Institutions of the NAS of Ukraine in the direction of physical, technical and mathematical sciences. The Institute is assigned to category B (departments 22, 23 are category A, departments 21 and 26 are category B). such a decision was made contrary to the decision of the Expert Commission of 9 specialists, which unanimously assigned the Institute to category A.
Events
List of Main Results of Basic and Applied Research in 2023
At the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute on December 7, 2023 the list of the most important results of fundamental and applied research obtained by scientists of the Institute during 2023 was discussed and approved. The results obtained in the implementation of budget, competitive topics and international and national grants. The approved list is submitted to the Bureau of the Department of Informatics for publication in the report of the NAS of Ukraine.
Young Scientist Award
In 2023, the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the support of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine launched and implemented the annual competition "The Best Young Scientist of the Academy."
Among the winners is a senior researcher at the Space Research Institute of the NAS of Ukraine and the SSA of Ukraine, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Lavrenyuk Mykola. Congratulations!
New Head of Department
By a resolution of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine of September 20, 2023, Mykola Salnikov was appointed head of the department for "Dynamic systems control" of the Institute. This resolution was issued in accordance with the submission of the Institute and the corresponding resolution of the Bureau of the Department of Informatics. Gubarev Vyacheslav Fedorovich continues to work fruitfully in this department as the chief researcher.
Joint Activity Agreement
On October 10, 2023, an agreement was signed on the organization and implementation of a joint scientific and scientific-technical activity between Space Research Institute and the NATIONAL SPACE FACILITIES CONTROL and TEST CENTER. The treaty aims to:
- conduct joint research, experiments, technological tests, carry out demonstration activities;
- organize and conduct an expert assessment of the results of research work, the implementation of innovative projects, startups, etc.;
- form, if necessary, specialized laboratories, centers for collective use of scientific, equipment, other scientific units.
